Dubai Chronicles - Part 3a

Our next morning in Dubai took us to BurJuman (pronounced as "Burzhuman"); yet another premier shopping centre in the city! Of course, the mall had more than its fair share of premium brands and the like; of course it seemed to extend for miles and miles; of course it had almost everything under the sun available under one roof; but the part of it that most fascinated me and caught my attention were the small, little, truant spouts/trains of water! There is this display bang in the centre of the mall that is a veritable visual treat! About four cylindrical drum like things are placed on the two sides of an aisle. From time to time, shoots of water come shooting out of one drum and fall right into the drum placed diagonally across! Sometimes, all four drums shoot water out at the same moment! It is absolutely delightful to see those trails of water shoot above your head, often hanging in midair for a considerably long period of time! Not one drop falls out of its destined spot! All the water droplets seem to know that their destination is only one of the drums, and never the head of the person standing beneath them!Nevertheless, as a testimony to my penchant for water, I did manage to go as close to the drums as I possibly could and get a few trickles of water droplets on me, just as they fell into their landing place!

The other out of the ordinary things in the mall were the astrologically lit up ceiling, as also the spacious and beautifully and tastefully done up rooftop garden restaurant. The restaurant had a ceiling that looked like a delightful wooden framework, with a huge television screen right below it, for the viewing pleasure of the guests!

On our way back, we took a public bus, but more on the transport system later!

P.S. Finally moved into the new place! Pictures coming up soon!

:-) It's not the pink one, it's the peach one!

Pictures will be clicked soon! Right now, there are way too many unopened bags in the rooms; they sure won't make a pretty picture! :-/

Oh! The text looks fine for me! Wonder if anyone else is seeing it overlapping! Please do tell me if you are!
